Reading- We are working our unit, Plot. The students have the new pattern statement and process questions in their pink folder. The must be memorizing them. The books that the students are reading are either "Bandit's Moon," "All the Way Home," or By the Great Horn Spoon." We are also doing the character bubble map from our last unit. Vocabulary test for this unit will be Thursday, January 21. The skills and performances tests for this unit will be Friday, January 22.
Math- Ch. 12 Test Tuesday, January 12. Then we will begin division.
English- Ch. 8 Test Wednesday, January 13. Then we will begin Ch. 9 (Pattern 3 and quotation marks).
Science- Ch. 12 Test Wednesday. A review sheet is going home today. If you sign it and send it back with your child on Wednesday, they will receive 5 bonus points on their test.
Spelling- Lesson 21 Test Friday.
Bible- Verse Test Romans 6:23 Thursday. 2nd and 3rd Missionary Notes Test is also Thursday.
Phonics- Pg. 94-98 due Tuesday, January 19.
No school- Monday, January 18 Martin Luther King Jr. Day

- My name is Ashley Bledsoe. I grew up in Memphis, TN with my incredible parents and brother. I started going to school at SBEC in the 2nd grade, and graduated there in 2003. I went to Northwest and then to the University of Mississippi where I graduated in 2007. I got married in June of 2006 to an amazing guy, Jordan, who is a civil engineer. We love to travel and have been to several awesome places! This is my 3rd year to teach 4th grade at SBEC. I enjoy working with kids...there is always something new and fun happening each day. My husband and I are members of LHBC where we are very involved.
